The EuroThetic Foundations Course is ideal for the healthcare professional who doesn’t have any experience in the field of aesthetics, and they want to enter this field, but they don’t know where to start. They are looking for evidence-based training from a world-class aesthetic professional who can mentor them and guide them through the field of aesthetics and help them understand and apply hands-on knowledge for carrying out safe and effective treatments.

• This course is also intended for medical aesthetic professionals who have very limited experience and are looking to build confidence and explore the field further.
• Additionally, it is suitable for medical professionals who are curious to explore the field of aesthetic medicine and want to evaluate whether they have a potential affinity with it before making a career decision.

Module 1: Foundations of Aesthetic Medicine

– Facial anatomy and vascular danger zones
– Ageing: extrinsic vs intrinsic mechanisms
– Patient selection and contraindications
– Safe technique and aseptic protocols
– Treatment planning from a holistic perspective

Module 2: Botulinum Toxin – Fundamentals

– Mechanism of action, product reconstitution
– Injection sites: glabella, forehead, crow’s feet
– Optional: platysmal bands (neck)
– Avoiding functional and cosmetic complications
– Documentation and consent protocols

Module 3: Hyaluronic Acid Fillers (Cannula-Based)

– Treatment areas: Lips, Nasolabial folds, Marionette lines, Smoker’s lines, Cheek contouring
– Monophasic vs biphasic fillers
– Safety with blunt cannula use
– Management of complications (e.g. Tyndall effect)

Module 4: Skinboosters & Polynucleotide Therapy

– Biorevitalization using HA-based boosters
– Neck rejuvenation protocols
– Introduction to polynucleotides (PDRN, PN-HPT)
– Indications: texture, hydration, superficial laxity

Module 5: Skin Science & Cosmeceuticals

– Functional skin anatomy & inflammation
– Acne, rosacea, pigmentation principles
– Actives: Retinoids, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Peptides
– Skin barrier integrity and product layering strategies

Module 6: Imaging and Assessment Tools

– VISIA®, Meicet®, VECTRA® systems
– Standardized clinical photography protocols
– Skin scoring, documentation, and progress tracking
– Communicating outcomes and managing expectations

Module 7: Ethics and Communication in Aesthetic Medicine

– Building patient trust and rapport
– Managing unrealistic expectations
– Addressing aesthetic dysmorphia
– Informed consent and medico-legal duties
– Navigating the influence of social media on patients

Participants who complete the course requirements will receive the EuroThetic Certificate in Beginner Aesthetic Medicine.

Requirements:
– Final theory exam (MCQs + case scenarios)
– Hands-on skills assessment
– Clinical observation log (minimum 10 supervised cases)

This course is structured according to international CME/CPD standards and is eligible for accreditation via recognized bodies (e.g., EACCME, CPD Netherlands).
